Ingredients
- 10 and three-fourth cups of water, separated into portions
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 6 bags of black tea
- ice, to your liking
- 8 slices of fresh lemon
- 8 sprigs of aromatic mint leaves
Step 1
Begin by pouring five cups of water into a versatile pressure cooker like the Instant Pot®. Next, toss in some sugar and a couple of tea bags to infuse the flavors. Seal the lid securely and engage the high-pressure setting as per the appliance's guidelines, while also setting the timer for a quick 5-minute brew. It might take around 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to reach its peak inside the cooker.
Step 2
Once the tea is done steeping, initiate the pressure release process using the natural-release technique, following the manufacturer's instructions, and let it sit for another 15 minutes. After that, carefully release any remaining pressure swiftly through the quick-release method, which should take about 5 minutes. Now, unlock the lid and lift it off gently.
Step 3
Take out the tea bags and give them a gentle squeeze to extract any remaining liquid back into the pot. Transfer the brewed tea to a pitcher and mix in the rest of the water. For a refreshing touch, serve the tea over ice along with some lemon slices and sprigs of fresh mint.
